Title:
Customs House, Bay Street, Savannah, Ga.
Description:
Black and white stereograph card with double image affixed to yellow paper. The back contains no publication information, and the title is handwritten in ink. Photographer is unknown. While the title indicates that the view is of the Customs House, only the roof and a small portion of that building are visible. It appears that the photograph was taken from Johnson Square. The building advertising Baths in the foreground of the image was replaced with the tall Savannah Bank building now on the site constructed in 1911.
