Abstract:
This thesis explores the balance between retaining the original concept intent of the scenic designer and responding to the needs and desires of the entire design team throughout a realized production. Concept development and collaboration process are both discussed as the explication describes each step of the progression: script interpretation and analysis, research, design, and production.
