Abstract:
This thesis focuses on the how to create a sense of drama and sculptural dimensionality at a large sized aquarium building. The concept of immersion in art and architecture will be explored as the means to accomplishing the desired effect. The aim is to provide a unique experience compared to other aquariums nearby and promote the facility as an asset and extension of the beach area on Tybee Island as well as contribute to the tourist attractions in that locality.
