Abstract:
|
Imagine if you had to live in the shadows of a building that was designed by the Nazi party and caused the death of some of your community and of your friends and family during World War II. The city of Vienna deals with this issue every day with the presence of the Flak Gun Towers that surround the city. This thesis deals with the G-tower located in the Augarten Park and the focus is to re-script the architectural language into a building that is accepted by the community. This is achieved through creating two modern performance theaters and a learning center that would help create new experiences and memories for the community through interaction with the tower and.
