Abstract:
"Trying to break the established rules of expression, this thesis paper focuses on
finding my own voice. It contextualizes my memories and thoughts from my
beginning, and explains the conception behind the Walking under a Midnight Sun
exhibition. Through shadow figures and manipulation of handmade shoes, the truth
about the expression, doubt, isolation and loss that come with society and my identity
are illustrated in the exhibition. In addition, I analyze my artistic choices and art
theory from a contemporary point of view in this paper."
