Abstract:
"This thesis aims to revive the Hijazi house which used to be a common housing type for the Saudi families in Jeddah. The Hijazi house
developed over decades and became a suitable solution in terms of social and other aspects. For several reasons and factors, Saudi families in
Jeddah moved to new housing types. These residential patterns were not the most suitable for the extended family; they were designed for single
families. Including apartments, which isolate each family in a separate unit, and also villas, which do not take into account religious and social
customs."
