Abstract:
"My visual thesis is an app-based solution named Simul that aims to address the importance of sustainable practice in packaging design prototyping. Simul provides an opportunity to create minimal waste design process and a more efficient and immersive communication method between designers and clients. By delivering a practical and multifunctional application for digital prototyping with VR technology, Simul can bridge the gap between physical and digital prototyping experiences by simulating the physical prototyping experience within a virtual space, such as checking sizes, structures, surface design and sense of weight, and textures. It also provides a new opportunity for clients and designers to collaborate during the design and testing stages. Simul offers multiple opportunities for designers to place their designs in a target environment and present them to their client, to have an easier and efficient communicational process...."
