"This thesis focuses on how to improve the living habits of local residents in the city of Dalian, China, by creating a dominant central plaza infusing the enclosed buildings and different programs with the outdoor corridor landscape into an experiential feast of traditional Chinese entertainment and education. Like a single drop of water creates ripples and spreads out, a drop of ancient culture could activate the whole area and permeate it with culture. The infusion of indoor and outdoor spaces makes the opportunity for this experience easy to get for users and, therefore, starts a more virtuous cycle of living habits for Dalian's residents and visitors."
