"As world population and
development continues to
increase, most cities turn toward simple
and easy development on green sites to
draw revenue to their economy. These types
of developments bring a lack of culture,
individualism, affordable living, and original
ideas. Hartford, CT is one of the struggling
cities in the NorthEast in need of a unique
approach to this problem. Through the implementation of a mixed-use urban hybrid
catalyst along the Northern Hartford highway
divide, an urban revitalization unique to this
place will promote development in downtown
Hartford. Beginning with the development
of several abandoned structures and empty
lots, Hartford can experience growth without
displacement, attract new visitors, maximize
the functioning hours, improve the economy
and standard of living."
