Abstract:
"Currently, the interventions for the psychiatric health care of women with postpartum depression (PPD) has increased. This study is focused on understanding the environment that supports women with postpartum depression after childbirth. If untreated, PPD acts as an unexceptional situation that might lead to clinical depression in women, and behavioral and developmental issues in infants. Due to various personal reasons and health concerns, many women prefer an alternative method of treatments instead of anti-depressant and psychotherapy. The purpose of the thesis is to find interior design elements and technological interventions that can support women with depression symptoms after childbirth in Perinatal Psychiatry Outpatient Units."
