Abstract:
"This thesis will focus on how vocal technique and accent work lead to new discoveries of character in the heightened language of Shakespeare. I will look at the effect of Fitzmaurice VoiceworkTM technique on my process and performance, as well as the process of learning and implementing the Original Pronunciation Shakespearean accent in my role as Oberon/Philostrate in the Prague Shakespeare Company Summer Shakespeare Intensive’s production of 'A Midsummer Night’s Dream.'"
