Abstract:
"The Isla del Coco is a Costa Rican island located in the Pacific Ocean. The island is currently
in a crisis where a big percentage of its flora and fauna are in danger of extinction. To generate
awareness of the island’s current situation, I designed and created Tropicoco, a collection of shoes
and bags that represent these endangered animals and plants. To fulfill the purpose of this
collection, scientific research explains the island’s extinction crisis while philanthropic research
analyzes the fashion retail market in search of exemplary awareness campaigns."
