Abstract:
"Visual Effects techniques, especially Visual Effects (FX) dynamics and simulation, will allow an individual artist to create an original and very personal narrative which uses animation to address a serious social theme such as 'victims of war and rebirth of hope'. In addition, creating such a narrative can provide an example of comprehensive advanced FX techniques, such as particle, destruction, fire, and smoke effect, to tell the story as well as to introduce the workflow and method being used in each scene."--Abstract
Abstract:
Includes the author's animated short film "A Prayer for Arirang, a "3D visual component which reflects and symbolizes sorrow for the current state of division between North and South Korea that has existed since the Korean War and portrays the Buddhist belief in reincarnation of souls."
