Abstract:
"This thesis is based on the author's experience as a music composer and an animator. It explores
the possibilities that synesthetic effects can produce a visualized subject and movement of music
by surveying the history of color music, visual music, and synesthesia. The goal of this thesis is to inquire into the historical and theoretical framework of experimenting visual music movies with characters, and the adaption of audio driven animation techniques for the automated visual presentation of music."
