Abstract:
|
"This thesis explores the metaphysical practices of dream therapy and multidimensional
self-realization through a visual and autobiographical lens. Stemming from a personal history of
sleep disorders and a medical condition that induces long periods of sleep, I use constructed photography
and digital compositing techniques to document my extended dream cycles, lucid
dream episodes, and symbolic clairvoyant visions. I use these as a starting point for a personal
study of the unconscious psyche and the depths of the human experience. By absorbing messages
and lessons from my dreams, I incorporate their wisdom and knowledge into my waking life to
guide both my artistic and self-healing practices. This research and photographic body of work
investigates my parallel dream life and the inner journey to healing, transformation, and the discovery
of the True Self."
