Abstract:
"This collection of personal essays centers around my personal relationship with transience. I have often felt like a transient person, flitting in and out of life, simultaneously existing and not-existing. Disconnected from my body, my sexuality, and my personal relationships, I have struggled to feel real or present in a world that seems to move inexorably forward, without me. In trying to keep pace with that world, I have found that certain moments in my life have had such transformative, catalyzing impact that I could feel myself changing into someone more solid, real, and aware of her identity. These essays center around such moments." --Abstract
