Abstract:
“This research aims to express the importance of symbolism and allegory in the children’s books market. The value of symbolism and allegory was reported through a study of symbolic imagery in fine art throughout history. The historical discussion is followed by a review of how symbolic imagery was applied to classic children’s books and animated media in order to support the allegory of those stories. The visual component of this thesis project is an allegorical children’s books fable, and this research includes an explanation for the symbolism and inspiration behind the story.” -- Abstract
