Abstract:
“The project goal is to create an engaging educational environment that showcases diverse science topics and encourages guests to visit again and again. To achieve this, the project proposes the design of a museum space in which the majority of exhibit spaces support rotational content. This will allow for more topics to be showcased in a shorter time period than in a typical museum layout, and make learning about the diverse offerings of science and natural history museums more engaging and immersive through their apparent novelty. This more frequent rotation of content and topics throughout the entire museum encourages more visits by local members and repeat visits by visiting guests. By making science and natural history as lively and exciting in a museum as they are in ‘the wild,’ museums can make science and related career paths more accessible and achievable for everyone.” –Abstract
