Abstract:
“This thesis focuses on how early learning environments can improve the quality of early childhood education by promoting children's interaction and socialization. Due to low socialization skills, most children experience aversion to kindergarten. Educational models that encourage independent learning and rationally designed educational environments can promote children's interactive and exploratory behaviors and increase their sense of belonging to the kindergarten environment. The study used online surveys, interviews and case studies to identify design considerations and features that meet expectations, as well as spatial features that contribute to children's existing problems, and to understand the exact needs of users. The results show that flexible and adjustable educational environments with clear areas and a variety of scales help to increase the sense of interaction and exploration of the space and promote children's interactive and exploratory behaviors. This research can provide additional design strategies for creating interactive educational environments and finding more ways for users to experience interactivity.” –Abstract
