Abstract:
"This thesis details my SCAD MFA Thesis production of Everyman, an adaptation by Kerry Frampton of the 16th century morality play. This one-hour show is structured in an alternating scene/interlude formula, labeled as 'lazzi' and 'episodes.' There are twelve written roles split between three performers; I assumed the roles associated with Undertaker 1: Death, Ex-wife, Goods & Riches, and Strength. In this thesis, I will describe the process through which I developed multiple characters distinguished in physical and vocal characteristics by utilizing the Viewpoints technique." --Abstract
