Abstract:
“This thesis is meant to shine a light on issues with how the consumer marketplace is currently attempting to tackle the climate crisis by exhibiting that the strategies in place do not yet reflect the full potential of our ability to fight climate change. The research which took place in development of this paper seeks to prove the theory that if more surface designers were involved in the process of developing sustainable products, a larger demographic of consumers taking part in general sustainable practices could be created. Moreover, this view seeks to demonstrate that it is not only in the interest of protecting our planet to make these changes, but that it can also be highly profitable.” –Abstract
