Abstract:
“This thesis explores into the media’s influence on the perpetuation of feminine stereotypes and seeks to confront the societal constraints it imposes on women. The aim is to analyze the representation of women in the media and evaluate the effects of these portrayals on women’s self-perception. Additionally, this thesis investigates the strategies feminist artists used in their work to challenge these representations. The research will track the progression of these artistic approaches, shedding light on how they have contributed to the feminist movement and offering inspiration on how to integrate their strategies into ongoing efforts for gender equality.” –Abstract
