Abstract:
“The search for answers in the starry night is a moment of reflection, where people blend curiosities and concerns, the uncertainties in the upcoming future determine the perception of time. Favelas are dense and overpopulated, with precarious sanitary conditions, to escape from that atmosphere, residents must find their subliminal space, where freedom to imagine is allowed. Life is determined by time, the cycle ends where it begins, the informal settlements shape the invisible and projected boundaries of dwellers existence. A monument has the function of celebrating an act or an individual, for Rocinha, the built solids are the physical monument, and the subliminal conscience becomes the transparent value of society. To obtain balance in the organized chaos, moments of utopia give- people an opportunity to understand their moment and value in time.” –Abstract
