Abstract:
“This research explores increasing participation in sustainable practices, emphasizing education for the next generation, and addressing low engagement in recycling. Using recycling as a starting point, the study examines issues in conventional manufacturing and recycling, such as low recycling rates, lack of transparency, eroding trust, and diminishing individual participation. Consolidated research addresses the complexities and interactions of human and non-human factors in the sustainable system. The research aims to increase sustainable consciousness and practices beyond recycling, engaging a broader range of users and entities to foster sustainability and inclusivity. The design employs play, collaboration, communication, and creation to engage children and stakeholders effectively within a social-ecological context. The research aims to establish a more sustainable and inclusive ecosystem, enhance sustainable practices, and instill long-term environmental awareness and responsibility in future generations. The ultimate goal is to make sustainable practices enjoyable for children and stakeholders, fostering a culture of sustainability.” –Abstract
