Abstract:
"Teachers suffer from work-life conflict due to an excess of work responsibilities, which is validated through research and a conducted survey. Border Theory and Conservation of Resources theory, along with other concepts coined by prominent figures in Work-Life Balance psychology research, informs the system design of the Home N' Work simulation created for this thesis. Energy monitoring and player feedback within the Home N' Work simulation game change how the playtest participants approach the ideas of work-life balance and traverse their metaphysical border between their home and work domain." --Abstract
