Abstract:
“Transcending the Blue: Touch, Look, and Wonder is a devotion to and documentation of the purest moments of joy as children interact with the sea. Whether in the untamed wilderness or the controlled environment of an aquarium, each image speaks to the universal magic of childhood and the timeless allure of aquatic life. Printed using the cyanotype printing process, each photograph undergoes a transformative journey as elements sourced from the sea, selected by the featured children, are included in the printing and toning process, weaving the spirit of the ocean into the very fabric of the images. The resulting imagery captures the pure essence of childhood play through the eyes of the mother as an artist and exploration of the sea in a way unique to the cyanotype photographic printing process.” –Abstract
