Description:
Color postcard with no borders, postmarked May 15, 1911. Now part of SCAD and known as Poetter Hall, the Guards Armory was designed by William G. Preston and constructed in 1893. It is a Romanesque Revival building with three full stories and a hipped roof of masonry faces with red brick. It overlooks Madison Square and originally housed a ballroom, company rooms, and social areas for the guards. This card was published by Souvenir Post Card Co. in New York, NY.
